Day 5 - Your definition of Love

Love:
noun
1. an emotion of great adoration and admiration for a person and or object;
2. the most beautiful, amazing yet soul-crushing feeling for one to experience;
3. all you need

A game where all you need is love, because let's face it love is all you need.

Part of my reasoning behind starting a blog is so that I could further develop my writing skills by translating my thoughts and feelings into words. Love, however always leaves me speechless. I believe that whoever coined the phrase "actions speak louder than words" was truly onto something. 99% of the time I feel as though I relate to that, especially when I try to talk about love; I get all tongue-tied and awkward. I daydream quite often and wish people could jump in my brain and understand the message I'm trying to convey. Until that day, I guess I'm stuck using a thesaurus.

Day 4 - What you ate today

Spring is in the air! Nice weather, new clothes, sunshine & lots of cleaning. For my family, that means it is time to get that BBQ operating again.

We had a chance to grill some burgers today. Instead of chowing down on my classic cheeseburger I opted for a nice Greek twist; complete with loads of feta, onions, lettuce and tomatoes - nixed the olives though. In addition to my lovely burger, potato salad and coleslaw - yummy! Here's a google generated image to give you a visual of my meal.

After making my own Greek burger, my dad commented that I'm definitely his daughter and such a "Toronto girl". Go forth & eat!

Day 3 - Your Parents

Ok so I know my posts are way overdue so expect an overload shortly. I've been up to my eyeballs in school work so expect an overload in posts to make up!

Like all parents, mine played a key role in who I am today. I would probably not be as passionate and interested in food if it weren't for my amazing father. My outgoing personality I owe to my mom. Everything they have taught me over the years has really influenced me in many ways and can never truly thank them for all of their sacrifices and opportunities they have provided me with. Cheers to you mom & dad!

Day 2 - Your first love

From the first time I heard you, I could feel it was something special. I knew I wouldn't be able to live without you. We've both changed a lot over the years but true love never dies. Not talking about a past significant other, talking about pop music.

Music was the first thing that I felt passionate about since I was a little girl. I remember going to my first concert, singing along with my friends. There is something phenomenal about music and how it can take you away to another place. My taste has evolved and now listen to everything - truly mean everything (punk to pop to electro to classical to international to some country).

Thierry Mugler Show

I almost don't remember what life was like before the internet. Its revolutionized the way we interact, learn, research and so much more. Fashion houses worldwide have tapped into this resource to showcase their newest lines. Giorgio Armani pioneered this movement by broadcasting his Armani Privé Spring/Summer 2007 fashion show via MSN & Cingular cell phones.

Yesterday, Thierry Mugler showed their F/W 2011 collection via their Facebook page. The stream started an hour prior giving viewers a peek at the backstage madness. Sleek ponytails and 3 feet long pigtails (for Gaga, obviously), wide leg trousers, body con dresses rocked the runway. I'm digging the cobalt blue, nude tones and abundance of black! How I'd love a closet full with every piece from this collection <3!

Kudos to the models including Canadian sweethearts Jessica Stam & Coco Rocha and Lady Gaga stomping out in those massive tranny heels.

Welcome to my blog, Kisses VF!

I am an avid blog reader (following blogs about fashion, food, music, and anything that catches my eye) so, I decided that it was about time that I started up my own. Kisses VF is my little brain child which you can expect to see posts about almost anything under the sun.

I'm dedicating my first month of blogging to a challenge I recently saw for blogs/tumblr.

Day 1 - Introduce yourself

For starters, my name is Vanessa from the wonderful city of Toronto. I love Toronto and everything this city has to offer however, I'd love to live in Montreal or NYC. I'm a textbook cancer: emotional, imaginative and loving. There are constantly many thoughts and ideas floating around my head - maybe this is the perfect outlet?

I love: going to concerts, spending time with my family & friends, eating, laughing, trying new things, learning.  People are always surprised by the number of movies I haven't seen; I'm more of a music junkie than a movie buff.
